Media:Direct™ Extraction Buffer

Media:Direct™ Extraction Buffer is designed to perform PCR test with transport media containing viral samples, without prior DNA/RNA purification process. The buffer includes high concentrated alkaline compounds for lysis and elution of sample organisms. This buffer is produced on the basis of the formulation that minimizes PCR inhibiting contents of the samples. This product is easy to use by just mixing the extraction buffer and transport media without additional process for preparing a nucleic acid template to run PCR tests.

RESULTS OF PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION TESTS

To comparative experiments between Media:Direct™ Extraction Buffer and others, carried out using GAPDH gene extracted from sample collected by nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab. Each sample was extracted five times per each method. Perform real-time PCR analysis of the extracted nucleic acid from each extraction method using GENECHECKER^® UF-300 Real-time PCR System. The relatively lower Ct value was identified than the other methods, which resulted in higher efficiency.
